We live in an age of endless health advice. Scroll for 30 seconds and you’ll see two completely opposite “non-negotiable” approaches to wellness… both claiming to be the way. It’s overwhelming, polarizing, and—let’s be honest—a little exhausting.
But here’s one of the hills I will die on:
There is no single “right” way to be healthy.
Nothing in medicine is 100% universal.
Well… okay, fine—there are a few givens: don’t smoke, eat real food, move your body, get good sleep. But beyond that? Health lives in the gray areas.
I am deeply passionate about lifestyle measures. So much so that I’m currently working toward board certification through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. And still—I fully embrace that there’s also a place for medication.
It’s not always one or the other.
Sometimes it’s both.
Sometimes it’s supplements.
Sometimes it’s deep personal, spiritual, or somatic healing.
And sometimes… it’s a thoughtful blend of all of the above.
Too often, I see wellness influencers or even healthcare providers declare that their way is the way. Maybe it worked for them, but health isn’t copy-paste. No influencer, coach, trainer, nutritionist, or provider should be completely one-sided.
Your care should be comprehensive.
Your plan should be personal.
And your path to wellness should be yours.
