Want to change your health? Start with an act of kindness towards yourself.
Meaningful change cannot come from a place of self loathing, or kicking and screaming. Change is hard, and we’re much better off when we come from a place of self-compassion and grace, which becomes highlighted during the road blocks and detours that come along the way.
Self love isn’t soft. Nor is it a reward you earn after you’ve “fixed” yourself. It’s the most powerful health tool you have, and the foundation everything else is built upon. Your nervous system, your habits, and your healing all respond better when you finally have your own back.
Some ways to start your morning from that place ↓
🕯️ yoga or gentle movement
☕ slow, intentional coffee or tea
📓 a few lines of journaling
🌬️ breathwork, even a few deep breaths before your feet hit the floor
🚶 a quiet morning walk
Pick one. Do it with kindness.
P.S. You don’t need fixing. Don’t let yourself or anyone else tell you otherwise. ❤️
